Mighty Oak is back for a second year!

After last year’s success, Oakwood’s biggest competition of the year is returning on Saturday 23rd March! Can you beat out the competition and be crowned the Mighty Oak?

Tickets are available now for £25 and include entry to the competition and an exclusive Mighty Oak 2024 t-shirt!

Please note, the centre will be closed for normal day entry to climbers not participating in the event.

9.30-12.00: Youth categories

12.00-13.00: Score cards returned and awards

13.00-16.30: Casual and Elite (16+) and Masters (40+) Qualifiers

16.30-17.00: Score cards returned and finalists announced

17.00-18.30: Entertainment

18.30-21.00: Finals and awards!

Categories

Morning competition:

Youth – BMC categories B(2009-2010), C(2011-2012), D(2013-2014), and E (2015-2016)

Afternoon competition:

Elite & Casual – 16+ (born 2008 or before) the category you are entered into will be determined by your score on the day

Masters – Age 40+

Para – For those that meet the paraclimbing criteria set out by the IFSC. Para climbers will be competing on standard competition blocs within a single para category

For members of the community who aren’t as interested in battling it out on the wall, the day will still be jam packed with fun (climbing focused) entertainment and games!
